During the visit, YB Datuk Chan praised our proactive efforts in promoting sustainability, reinforcing our belief that these practices are crucial for the long-term competitiveness of Malaysian rubber products in the global market. We took great pride in showcasing our extensive production facility, which spans over one million square feet and is capable of producing 600 tonnes of raw latex each month. This translates to an impressive 7,200 tonnes annually equivalent to the yield from tapping 10 million rubber trees per month.
The Deputy Minister and his delegation were given a comprehensive tour of our manufacturing process, from the handling of raw materials to the final stages of product completion. This visit provided an excellent opportunity for us to exchange insights on enhancing the quality of Malaysia’s natural rubber through sustainable practices and elevating industry standards to meet the latest international regulations, including the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
At Getha, we strongly believe that robust branding is essential for positioning Malaysian-made rubber products as the top choice in international markets. Our commitment to sustainability is woven into every aspect of our production process, setting a benchmark for eco-friendly manufacturing practices. We are proud to lead the industry in this regard, and we were pleased to have this leadership recognized during the visit.
YB Datuk Chan also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting efforts that align with global standards and consumer expectations. His praise for our proactive stance on sustainability further motivates us to continue driving forward-thinking practices that ensure the success and global competitiveness of Malaysia's rubber industry.
This visit marked an important step in aligning our industry objectives with national policies focused on sustainability. At Getha, we remain dedicated to not only thriving in this evolving market but also leading the charge in responsible and innovative practices.
